   Due to popular demand I'm making this week Only Men's week hence I will be mostly fashion tips posting mostly for men. I know I've been pretty unfair posting only about women but that's all about to change. My first post on Men's Fashion will be on plaids.

   Prints are in vogue this season. And checks and stripes can as well be our first pick. A plaid or checkered shirt will add that much needed pattern in your wardrobe and should definitely be worn in different ways this season.

  Some of you may be thinking "Hey, I'm not trying to look like a westcoast thug", but trust me, as long as it's not buttoned up to the top and you aren't wearing a blue or red bandanna then I'm sure you'll be okay (just don't start walking like a thug on the streets, lol).

  Plaid is a bold and sharp choice of pattern and we always encourage a man who is willing to take a risk. So go plaid, go bold and leave the boring behind. Whether you wearing a plaid tie, pant, blazer or shirt, the number one tip is to style it perfectly.

TIP: If you’re plaid-timid, try a classic shirt or tie. Leave the plaid trousers to the experts or golfers. Even if you’re fearless, limit yourself to one plaid pattern per outfit.

  Do's And Don't

● Always wear the right fit – not too tight not too lose, just right. Look yourself in the mirror and you will know instantly if the fit is not perfect.

● Wear a solid coloured T-shirt inside your plaid shirt and pair it with denims for a basic casual day look.

● First rule of checks- avoid pairing your plaid with plaid! Make one piece the star of your outfit and let it speak for itself.

● Do not wear your plaid shirt tucked in. It just looks awkward. Avoid the clash of similar colours in one outfit.

● For a casual day look, pair a white dress shirt with straight-leg cut plaid shorts, a skinny tie and loafers.

● Get a plaid tie to go with your neutral suit or pair it with a monochrome outfit to break the colour pattern. Pair your plaid shirt with solid coloured pants and avoid other prints.

● Make it classic but not formal
     When it comes in a slim contemporary cut and bold (but not
loud) colors, a plaid blazer can inject
pizzazz into even the most pedestrian outfit.

  
   And a nice pair of shoes or a simple accessory like a wristwatch,  bracelet or hat could complete the look making you stylish and ready to go. So guys have fun wearing your plaids.

    If there is anything that survived the 19th century and beyond, it had to be the very versatile gladiator sandal which have been in existence for quite a long time dating back to the days of ceasar though their fashion pinnacle had been the summer of 2008 and thereafter, they have undoubtedly continued to be worn as they look very  good and are comfortable.   

   When shopping for gladiator sandals be careful enough to pick the ones that flatter the length of your leg. Avoid swamping short, chubby legs in heavy, long gladiator sandals and wear chunkier styles with pants rather than dresses or skirts. Also the gladiator sandal has a way of calling attention to your outfit so keep your outfit simple by going neutral or wearing a single colour that allows the length of the sandal to shine.  

  1.Wear knee high length gladiator sandals with shorter dresses, basically any outfit that sit above the knee like shorts and short skirts.

 2.Match low gladiator sandals with jeans, longer skirts and dresses.

  3.Wear metallic gladiator sandals with evening wear for instant style upgrade.  

 4.Keep it simple and dress casual with the high leg gladiator sandal.

   Stylish layers, check. Sunglasses, check. Comfortable chic shoes, check. Dressing for travelling is an art and celebs like Rihanna and Mel who spend quite a lot of time travelling are masters of travelling in style.

  We spend most of our time stressing over what to pack for our journey that we pay little attention to our actual travel attire and with all the hassling through the checkpoints to terminal to plane and then finally to our destinations, it is not only sensible to dress comfortable but it has become a compulsion so as not to disrupt other travelers. I did a little research and found an article that was based on this topic so I got a few points from it and that's what I am going to share it with you. This subsequent tips will not only prep you for comfortable traveling but they will also give you pointers on how to do it stylishly.    

  
   Basic Wears: Layer up And dump the Gladiators
  It is always freezing at the airport and on the plane so bring a cardigan not sweater as you could tug it off and muss your entire look. Also avoid an airport fiasco by dumping the gladiator scandal at home with a few hundred buckles, it is an uncomfortable shoe when it comes to airport dressing instead opt for comfortable flats that slip on and off because you never know if you will have to run to catch a flight.   

  Do: Bring a pashmina    
    This is like one of the most important accessory you will need when travelling. It does not only make you look chic but this handy accessory also doubles as a blanket when the going gets cold. So easy to store and pull out, it does not get anymore workable than this stylish scarf that is available in various colours.    

  Don't: Put on a belt  
   One thing you should not wear to an airport is a belt apart from holding up the security line, you will have to buckle and unbuckle, how unpleasant can that be.    

Do: Wear a sock or bring one along      Wear socks. They do not only keep your legs warm while on the plane but also your toes bacteria -free when you have to remove your shoes at security. You may not consider it a necessity because socks and other items are distributed in the plane but it is better to have your own long pair with you. That being said,keep your flip flops for the beach or elsewhere.

 Don't: Wear Underwire Bras    
    What could be worse than going through the frisking at the airport security all because your bra triggered the metal detector. Avert from such mess by opting for a metal free bra that still offers firm support.

  Do: Wear A Maxi(Optional)     
   Wearing a maxi dress or skirt that won't constrict you is almost perfect as an airport attire. Not only do you have to sit throughout your travel time in your affirmed attire but also rush through airport security, wait for your flight then wait for your baggage to arrive at your destination therefore choosing comfortable outfits are just the best.   
  Don't: Over Accessorize  
   A little bit of sparkle is sure to make any outfit look dapper. It is best to accessorise a little or not at all, flying is not the best time to show off your jewelry collections. Especially when you have to clasp and unclasp and if you really need to use jewels for your outfit, keep your precious jewels in a ziplock bag so you can easily access them once you land.

   Distressed jeans are so attractive you want to get it but don't want it. It's hard enough trying to look for the one that suits your taste without making you look shabby and you really love it but can't bring yourself to purchase such a ludicrous outfit.

   Well I'm here to save you from that stress. All you need to do is get an old pair of jeans from your closet and in no time, you will be rocking your destroyed jeans.

   I got so bored one day, I decided to pick an old pair of jeans from my closet and after following a manual closely,  I made my first distressed jeans lol at the end of the day, I felt like I achieved something.

  Things you need
• Old pair of jeans

• Tweezers

•  Hard cover book  

 •A pen

 • Sand paper (optional)

 • Blade or scissors

 • Tape (Optional)

      1. Wear your old jeans and take a tape to measure where you want to distress. Use a pen to mark the point.

   2. Lay your jeans on a plain surface then put your hard cover under it to avoid cutting the other side of your jeans. 

  3. Use the sand paper to roughen the place you want to cut to make it look old and easier to cut through.

 4. Start cutting to the shape you desire, to achieve a simple cut on the knee you could turn your jeans to the wrong side and fold the knee while you use a scissor to cut it without reaching the edges.

 5. Use a blade to make cut straight lines. Remember to leave a large space gap before cutting another line. 

 6. After cutting, get your tweezers and start pulling out the thread of the cut lines to give it the distressed look. Pull out till you feel you achieved the look.

 7. Dry clean your jeans after you are done. You could add a little bleach on the distressed side to make it stand out.

   Tada! Your destroyed jeans is ready to wear. Remember to pair your jeans with a nice shirt, blouse or blazer and a nice pair of accessories. 

   Wow! That is the only thing that comes to mind when you see a sexy lady strutting around with her perfectly winged eyeliner and sultry red lips.

    I don't know about anybody but I LOVE red, the colour of love and passion hmm you just want to kiss that lips away till its numb. Red is loved by most women and the reason isn't far fetched, every women likes to bring out her inner self call it alter ego and red is just the go-to colour because it is daring, attention gripping and sexy.

   This look could take you places either for just a casual look or event, getting a simple light makeup on and a perfectly drawn cat eyes with bright or dark red lips will always make you look glam.

   To get you red lips just remember to

1. Apply a primer first on ur lips

2. Then apply a lip liner round the edges of your lips, use a darker shade to achieve a dark red lips

3. Apply your lipstick

4. Kiss yourself.... Tada! Your own perfect red lips!

  To achieve a winged liner if you are not a pro

1. Get a spoon! (yeah you heard that right)

2. Apply your liner on a straight line on your lower lash line

3.Put the spoon close to your lower lash line

4. Draw a curve up to meet the liner on the lower lash line

5. Fill in 

   And that's how you get a cat eye and sultry red lips *kisses*.

   Everywhere we go, braids seem to be the latest trend as ladies have been turning heads with their long waist length braids, stylish knot tying and short length braids in all kind of colours. It's so nice and tempting, I even got my hair made like that. Lol.

  There are all kinds of braids but today I'm specifically talking about the stylish kinky braids also known as Marley twist or marley braids.

  Marley braids are another popular protective style. The hair used is slightly coarser in
texture than traditional synthetic
tresses, but the two-strand twist method is again applied here. The typical length for Marley Twists are braided to about the shoulder.

    The Marley braids take between 5 and 10 hours to make and can last between 4 weeks and 3 months. This hairstyle is very popular amongst Africans and African-American women.

  HOW TO STYLE MARLEY BRAIDS

   Marley braids can totally change your overall
look. They can be styled in various different ways to give an
elegant, casual or even that official look.

1. The easiest way to style
these braids would be to make a simple ponytail. The sleek ponytail on braids is quite fashion
statement.

2.You can even make a bun with your braids.The style is quite vogue.

3. For a fun look, let these braids fall loose.

4. You can experiment with them by creating a much more complex pattern.

5. To add more ‘oohhhahh’ to this hairstyle, use
beads and some other accessories to style
them .

   Leather pants are very stylish but tricky to pull out. Kanye West may claim to have invented
leather pants (specifically of the jogging
variety), but when it comes to styling them,
the rapper is uncharacteristically a legend in styling the outfit perfectly.

I personally like the gloss of this hosiery because
it's such a stylish alternative to plain black
leggings. They add an exciting, feel and and
completely different texture to your outfit. If you
love wearing black as much as I do then faux
leather leggings are a must in your wardrobe!

    You could easily wear your leather pants anywhere but make sure itdis fitted and if not then not too baggy. Since the pants are a bold statement,
make sure the rest of your outfit reads simple and
conservative. Staples like a blazer, silk button-
down, and pumps are safe yet still stylish
choices.

   Pairing up plaids, sweatshirts and tshirts with your pants doesn't seem like a bad idea but remember to keep the jewellery simple, a simple necklace or hand cuff will do.
