  Growing up, I always looked forward to Christmas... The new fancy dress, gifts, parties and definitely the fireworks (or is that new year? Lol) anyway now that I'm older, it's not as interesting as it used to be but I'm just hoping for a Christmas miracle to happen so if you have Santa's number, kindly forward it to me lol.

Today's ootd is an off shoulder top with high waist print pants (popping the Christmas colour...green and red) and a simple heels.

    So the holiday is well beyond boring and I was looking for where to go or turn up and luckily, there was the Gtb fashion weekend which was 12th and 13th of November and attendance was free.

   I have to really applaud Gt bank...they did a great job in pulling a great show, I loved the whole enterprise idea and even though I got there late and missed the classes, I heard it was great. Lets not forget the whole venue, beautifully decorated and there were stalls where people could shop different brands. It was also a nice opportunity to meet people from different walks of life, most people you know from social media and significant figures in the fashion industry I mean everybody was there! I had a great time meeting people and seeing old faces that never get old lol I have to say this... Gtb should keep it up and do this every year, it was well planned and close to perfect.

  I somehow managed to miss the classes and presentations but I was present for the runway show and I must tell you, it blew my mind away....I was in awe...beautiful stage, mad lights, awesome Dj and they had gift bags lol it was really nice.

  Though I missed Ejiro Amos tafiri's show, I watched the rest and my three fav are

   I was in awe! Great aesthetics....I was getting the Balmain vibe but in a very good way. It was a perfect way to open the show.

• Taibo Bacar

  Can I have all the outfits in my wardrobe please...sophisticated and classy and I could easily picture myself rocking the pieces.

• Lanre Da Silva

  First time seeing her pieces on the runway and they were really nice.

  And about my outfit...for day one, I wore a black top from atmosphere and paired with a diy denim fringe skirt (check the diy post on the blog) and a silver pair of heels.

  For day two, I wore a red dress from asos and same silver heels.

  Cant wait for next year. Kudos Gtb.

    Today's post is on how to transform your long denim skirt to a fringe denim skirt. I rocked mine to the gtb fashion weekend which was lit (I'll be posting about the event later). I wore mine with a black top and simple strap heels.

Things Needed

• Denim skirt
• Scissors
• Blade
• Chalk

STEPS

• Lay skirt on a flat surface. Loose the seams at the edge of the skirt with a blade.

• You can reduce the length of the skirt if you feel its too long by cutting with a scissors.

• Take your chalk or marker and line where you want your fringe to start from. You can mark a straight line or be creative by making designs like a slant or scallop line.

• Use your scissors to start cutting from the marked line to the down of your skirt. Cut in vertical lines and when you are done, you can use tweezers to pull the edges to make it look more frayed.

  You can rock your denim skirt with a T-shirt, off shoulder top or any nice blouse of your size. For a classy look, add a blazer and nice pair of heels and for a casual look you can wear your skirt with sneakers or sandals.

  So I hardly ever post book reviews but it suddenly seemed like a good idea when one of my instagram followers suggested it. I'm not much of a reader at least not recently since I've been busy with other stuffs but I've been eager to watch the Me Before You movie but after getting several disheartening spoilers, I opted for the book. Here's my thought on the book.

  I finished reading 859 pages around 2:36am lol I can't even get out of bed right now. Hmm ok where do I start from?

The book lived slightly up to the hype and basically I think the whole thing was centered around a person's right to die. Despite the fact it was well brilliantly written, there was a constant debate in my head...was the Writer right in killing off Will's character? Should it have had a happy ending?

   I like the fact the writer tried to be as realistic as possible....there was a part in the book where one of the characters said this wasn't exactly a Hollywood movie but I felt like despite it being realistic, it did not exactly giving hope to disabled people.
  I mean whats the whole point of 'when there's life, there is hope'...letting them know they could still live, do things, be happy and who knows maybe fall in love...I get the writer tried to show that with the presence of Louisa and her bubbly spirit, the whole vacation idea but it still felt like it wasn't enough. 

  On the other hand, there were times I could understand the Writer & Will's decision to end his own life...its difficult adapting to a new you...a diminished version of yourself, relying on someone, losing everything you once were and accepting what you no longer can be and having constant health issues... What was the guarantee he would have lived more than 10 years...he was suffering not just physically but mentally and I could literally feel his pain as a reader.
  But I'm still very much against euthanasia which means mercy killing, a lot of countries don't condone it under moral and religious grounds... Yes he was a quadrilegic with several health issues but it wasn't like he was terminally ill and even if...it didn't just seem like the right choice...its supposed to be a romantic book with happy ending for Christ sake! Then why was I getting the fault in our stars vibe though in contrast, one of the characters in the latter was terminally ill.

Aside from the whole euthanasia thing, I realised the book was slightly different from the movie...in the book Will's parents weren't so strong and close, his father was having an affair with a red haired and he finally left his wife after Will's death. Will had a sister Georgina who was against his decision..... There was also the whole Louisa moving into Patrick's house and moving into Will's house which was pretty much absent in the movie, also the fact Patrick, her boyfriend, told the reporters about Will and  another significant thing that was absent in the movie was the Maze. 
  In the book, it seemed Louisa was assaulted & possibly gang raped in the past and her sister, Treena found her but they never spoke about it and she told Will about this but that was vividly absent in the movie but all in all, I'll rate the book 7/10. Feel free to drop comments.
