  Ever been to Cafe Neo? You should totally visit...had my blog shoot there with @ysldavies and I had so much fun.

   So after three hours on the road, dragging my friend along and getting lost multiple times, we finally got to our destination and met Yosola (very cool guy btw, follow him on instagram @ysldavies ) and well the rest is history (history would be how we were at the wrong place and had to start looking for where we were going and how we got lost again until we found CAFE NEO).

  Hmm Cafe Neo just saying the name makes me blush....our very own Nigerian Starbucks, the refreshing atmosphere and beautiful surrounding and omg the artworks (Amazing! Lol I'm not exaggerating).

  So we were able to shoot thanks to the very nice manager, Mr Tunde (he even made me hot chocolate....he's really awesome) I couldn't stop laughing throughout.

    After having a shoot for the launch of my footwear line (SFD Sandals) I changed into a red dress with red heels with gold studs and yes imagine the combination with my vibrant blue hair.

    It was a day well spent working with @ysldavies (photographer), his friend Tobi, Mr Tunde and his friend Tumi and of course my very naughty friend Mayowa. I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time.

   Omg! The most hectic week ever... planning a shoot, trying so hard to focus in school (which I suck at btw) and finally launching my footwear line (FIMM Sandals) it's been so stressful.

  Anyway so @ysldavies and I planned to work together when he's in lagos so we planned a blog shoot and I had it in the most amazing cafe you will find in lagos, Cafe Neo you have to totally check it out if you reside in lagos or you are visiting anyway a separate post is coming up on that.

  Today's post is all about wearing your shirt as an off shoulder top...lol maybe I watch Korean movies too much....if you have seen the drama 'She was pretty' in one scene one actress wore her shirt in the coolest way ever so I decided to try it out. It's quite simple, just loosen a few buttons and pull the shirt all back until it's like an off shoulder top (make sure your buttons don't pop off).

  So I paired my black shirt with a nice denim short and of course my FIMM Sandals (to order contact me on 07084469067) and accessorized. A very simple look for a casual day out.

  So I didn't get around doing a valentine shoot because well the bathtub shoot could work for val anyway I just recently did a shoot with a photographer and I just got the pictures. My gawd its so hard juggling being a law student when you have to memorise cases upon cases but you find your thoughts drifting to the next diy post you should try anyway that's the joy of being me...I love multi tasking (note the sarcasm).

  So today's ootd post could take you on a date to casual outing with friends. Just wear a tank with high waist jeans and a stylish pair of heels. Complete the look with a nice clutch and accessories (remember accessorising is key).

   Who ever said you have to empty your bank account to be stylish definitely said wrong. Fingers are not equal and let me tell you a secret...They never will be, especially in our economy today, so if you are a fashion lover or you just want to look good on daily basis but your finances are holding you down, this is just for you.

   Looking stylish isn't all about wearing expensive clothes infact you could wear a five thousand naira dress and still look way better than someone wearing something worth 60k, it's all about the way you put your outfits together and these are the top ways you could look stylish while being extremely broke.

• Don't be decided by looks, the key is mixing and matching. Ransack your wardrobe for outfits and try re matching them together to see what fits and if you can't tell, try wearing them on to see if you like it or use the Internet to get fashion inspo.

• Recycling: As some of you may know, I am literally the queen of DIY...all you have to do is find an outfit that you could easily try changing into a different outfit (you could go through my blog for diy tutorials, just follow step by step).

• Sales: Keep your eye out and ears down for notification of fashion sales. Usually boutiques have them during festive periods or holidays so now you can shop that stylish outfit or item for less.

• Don't Try To Follow Trends otherwise you will get lost. If you are broke, respect yourself and stick to what you have and be fashionable with it. If you try following trends, you will end up penniless and like they say there's nothing as good as creating your own trend (I think I formed that just now).

• You are Fashion: Things go in and out of vogu constantly so it's hard to keep up. Don't be afraid to create your own style and stick to it be iy boho or street style...you are what you wear, always remember that.

• Most Importantly, Save up: I feel like an hypocrite preaching this but it's paramount you learn how to save, stop buying unnecessarily and save up your money. That way you can afford to get yourself something good and nice.

• Ransack Your Parent's Closet: Believe I do that too....no matter their size or style,  they always have something there for you to wear or revamp to your own style. Do this with their permission ofcourse (wink).

• Dress Comfortably....The world won't know you are broke unless you show them so try and look good....stylish not thrashy.
